They both live in New York. Grace is engaged to a real jerk, but when that relationship falls apart, she moves in with Will. This is only supposed to be until Grace finds a place of her own, but she and Will end up with each other as permanent roommates. Also in the cast are Jack, Will's flamboyant gay friend and Karen, Graces' secretary/assistant who doesn't really need to work because she married money several times.。Pleng（Ice饰）是个英语老师，刚遇上个麻烦事，一个外国学生要抛弃男朋友Jim（Sunny饰）跑到美国去，Jim不懂英文，这女学生就用英文录了一段分手宣言，放到U盘里让Pleng翻译给Jim听。 Jim听完非常生气，认为就是因为Pleng教她女朋友英语才导致自己被抛弃。可是不久之后Jim决定要和Pleng学英语，去美国挽回女友。Pleng无奈之下只能答应。 这两人在咖啡店学习，Jim一介工人，英语基础几乎没有，Pleng费尽心思想尽办法教他，发音，语法，阅读。就在这艰难的教学过程中，Pleng逐渐地了解了这个暗自努力的工人。 同时Pleng还在带一个班，班里都是背景好颜也好的生意人，其中有个Prek先生（Tu饰）喜欢上她，并发起了猛烈的攻势，最终获得了老师的芳心，两人在一起了。 但是在Pleng和Jim的学习过程中，两人渐渐交心，从互相看不顺眼到渐生好感，两人最终结局如何呢？。
