龙门镖局十年一度的总镖头考核定在迷雾森林,参加考核的镖师对信镖都势在必得,除了老总镖头的儿子唐三川,正所谓醉翁之意不在酒,小师弟唐三川的心思全在师姐夏梦秋身上。此次考核最主要的任务是考验镖师们的路线规划能力和走镖时镖师们坚守的“义当先”的忠诚信念。考核开始,师姐苏若男和师兄白敬生为夺取信镖,将镖局信念抛之脑后,误入了他人设置陷阱,尝到亲手酿造的恶果,深陷死亡轮回。匪夷所思的是并非只有二人陷入到轮回之中,参与此次考核的所有人员都陷入循环时空。发觉陷入时空轮回的小师妹夏梦秋,剥茧抽丝找到蛛丝马迹。但没想到有人比她抢先一步,洞察先机,考核陷入死亡轮回。到底是谁在幕后操纵一切?幕后黑手究竟有何目的?。The subtitle of Jean-Marie Straub and Danièle Huillet’s first feature, from 1965, “Only Violence Helps Where Violence Reigns,” suggests the fierce political program evoked by their rigorous aesthetic. The pretext of the film, set in Cologne, is Heinrich Böll’s novel “Billiards at Half Past Nine,” which they strip down to a handful of stark events and film with a confrontational angularity akin to Bartók’s music that adorns the soundtrack. The subtlest of cues accompany the story’s complex flashbacks. The middle-aged Robert Fähmel tells a young hotel bellhop of persecutions under the Third Reich| his elderly father, Heinrich, an architect famed for a local abbey, recalls the militarism of the First World War, when his wife, Johanna, incurred trouble for insulting the Kaiser. A third-generation Fähmel is considering architecture, just as the exiled brother of Robert’s late wife, returns, only to be met by their former torturer, now a West German official taking part in a celebratory parade of war veterans. Straub and Huillet make the layers of history live in the present tense, which they judge severely.
