中国片之中很少描写"雇佣兵"这个特殊行业，柯受良导演的本片让观众开了一点眼界。歌手王杰全身投入担纲主演，描写他为了救女友张敏而杀死了龙少爷，于是连夜逃往法国，参加入了法国雇佣兵，经过几个月的训练之后成为骁勇善战士，并被派到中东的沙漠地区作战。此时，龙老大已派人追杀前来，并在雇佣兵团中收买高手来对付王杰。全片在剧情安排上不脱商业片的老套，并未因题材的国际性而拍出更大的格局，但作为一部普通的娱乐片还不算太差。。摇滚乐队“Rhythm Head”在演出途中，屋外落下响雷。停电后，舞台上突然出现木下藤吉郎秀吉和织田信长。从战国时期穿越到现代的信长和秀吉，加入了乐队。但是为了实现父亲梦想而组成摇滚乐队的正巳却很苦恼。之后松平竹千代（德川家康）也出现在现代的名古屋。家康也加入了的6人组成了新的“Samurai Rock”组合。。To the outside world looking in, Jack's not well.
