When a young mother is barricaded inside a pantry by her violent ex-boyfriend, she must use ingenuity to protect her two small children from escalating danger while finding an escape.。野々村静（吉岡里帆）は地方の商店街で写真館を営む父の純介（笑福亭鶴瓶）と二人暮らし。純介は生まれつき聴覚障害を抱え、同じくろう者だった母は静が幼い頃に他界している。耳の聞こえる静は、幼い頃から純介の耳代わり口代わりを務めてきた。そのため、静には相手をジッと見つめたり、身ぶり手ぶりで話すクセがある。 父との会話には視覚情報が重要だからだ。 だが、そのクセは「こび」とか「ガサツ」と受け止められ、バイト先のファミレスでは同僚からは嫌われ、店長からは好意を持っていると勘違いされ、傷つくことの多い毎日。 ある時、静はファミレスの客として面識のある道永圭一（中島裕翔）がケバブの出店でつるし上げられている場面に出会う。現金の持ち合わせがないのに注文してしまい、言葉の分からない店主相手に立往生していたのだ。 静の助け船で難を逃れた圭一も、空気を読むことが苦手な男だっ...。During the 1977 El Salvadoran presidential election, public unrest is at an all-time high over fears of election fraud.
