When he gets into trouble with his supplier, his sister is kidnapped and he is forced to rely on both his sleight of hand and brilliant mind to save her。故事发生在人头攒动车水马龙的上海，出生于富贵之家的余创世（沈孟生 饰）系纨绔子弟，某日，竟然持枪杀死了自己的情敌。偶然路过的沈子君（夏文汐 饰）目睹了这一切，成为了唯一的目击证人。 余家的女婿朱焕亭成为事件的牺牲者，临死前，他告诉自己的妻子，自己有一个名叫张来福（刘松仁 饰），寄养在张伯通家里。他希望妻子能够找到张来福，让他认祖归宗。可是，张伯通并非正直之人，他刷了一个小小的花招，让亲儿子长贵（马景涛 饰）代替来福，成为了余家巨额财产的继承人。来福仁心宽厚，多次容忍长贵的冒犯，长贵则越来越过分，最终害得来福差点丧命。。
