The film was written and directed by Stuart Urban, and commissioned to mark the tenth anniversary of the Falklands War. The film was closely based on the historical record, and all of the major incidents portrayed were drawn from contemporary accounts by those who took part. Filming took place on the Falkland Islands and at Ealing Studios. Urban is a fluent Spanish-speaker, and plays an uncredited role as the Argentine radio operator.。《全明星辯論會》陶晶瑩在節目中她擔任評審長，另外視網膜則擔任司儀，節目將打破談話性節目框架與政論節目偏頗，以辯論作為表現方式，喚起大家對思考、表達與聆聽的重視。節目陣容堅強，除每集因應辯論主題邀請3位評審擔任評審團外，會分為正反兩隊，每一隊由一位隊長與位明星辨手、二位辯論協會幕後支援組成。一隊由黃豪平擔任隊長，隊員包括關韶文、阿喜、木星、莫宰羊、陳大天、徐新洋、賀瓏、吳怡霈，而另一隊隊長則是陳芳語，她的隊員是倪暄、董仔、凱莉、侯昌明、馬力歐、楊昇達、朱琦郁、蘿莉塔，各個大有來頭。。纽约附近城岛的监狱看守文斯瞒着老婆乔伊斯到城里上表演课，梦想成为一名演员。乔伊斯瞒着文斯抽烟，女儿和儿子也都有自己的大小秘密，一家人各自为政。有一天文斯发现新转来的犯人汤尼竟是自己遗弃二十多年的儿子。文斯把汤尼带回了家，向所有人隐瞒了事实，希望能利用假释好好照顾这个儿子，让他重返正途。与此同时，在表演课同学莫莉的鼓励下，文斯参加了一次重要的电影角色面试，没想到这却引起了乔伊斯的误会，造成了家庭危机大爆发……。
