Yes, but what transpired from sta...。伍德全為人樂觀，不務正業，憑著他的小聰明在都市裡打滾。因欠下小旅店三個多月房租，女工林小燕對他其深表同情。伍設計欺騙旅店老闆及一老華僑，事敗，伍悄悄逃離澳門赴港謀生。伍扺港後，結識一失意之國畫家辛極貴，向彼獻計裝死，以騙畫商。事敗，伍與辛又利用另一機會騙得一群顧客及外國遊客。最後，伍捲入「收買騎師」事件中，外圍公司命打手向伍圍毆，幸脫險。伍醒後只見小燕獨伴身旁看護，伍向小燕表白一切，決心改過自新。。
