The story takes us back to 1889, in the wake of primary school teacher Louise Violet who is sent to a village in the French countryside to enforce Republic schooling (which is free, compulsory and secular). It’s a mission which secures her unpopularity, among children and parents alike…。村民积极响应村中“共同富裕”政策，村中各大企业开始带动村民经济，帮助村民奔小康。同时白清明重金投资王小蒙豆腐厂，却导致白清明与李银萍、王小蒙和谢永强这两对爱人的误会和矛盾，甚至导致村里众多家庭迎来爱情保卫战的故事，而王大拿好不容易平息了情敌风波，但儿子好似出现了精神问题……。
