It explores how advanced automation, AI and technological singularity could be achievable in the next...。IT企業が経営するメディノックス医療センターでは、医学者の鈴木哲郎（向井理）が開発したAIによる患者の診断が行なわれていた。人間の医師が行なうよりも短時間で正確に、しかも無料で行なうAI診断は世間で評判を呼ぶ。AI診断を導入したIT企業代表の蒲生俊平（渡部篤郎）は、海外に後れを取らないためにも医療のAI化を進めていくべきだと主張。しかし、医師会会長の有薗直子（黒木瞳）は「時期尚早」と難色を示し、さらに優秀な外科医の上野智津夫（原田泰造）もＡＩに診断された患者の手術に当たることを不快に思っていた。 そんな中、AI診断に基づいて上野が手術した患者が、術後に容体が急変して亡くなってしまう。上野はAIが余計な診断をしたせいだと言い放ち、鈴木は上野の判断が間違っていたせいだと反論する。一方、記者の太刀川春夫（山本耕史）は、AIで診断した患者が死亡したという情報...。
