节目采用纪实拍摄形式，深入挖掘八家“承载着不同群体生存和生活方式”的小店背后的故事，以百味交织、切实可感的人物故事，还原人生百态，致敬城市精神。节目不仅记录上海小店的烟火气，多元的城市样态，更重要的是，捕捉这些小店能够在上海生存，发展，甚至是做大做强的精神内核。 八期节目将带领观众走进菜园、面店、火锅店、武馆、乐器修理铺等八家风格迥异的特色小店，传递普通人在上海向下扎根、向阳生长的奋斗故事，致敬上海开放、创新、包容的城市精神。。《老娘泪》的剧本源自两个真实案件。一个是四川的交通厅长，犯了受贿罪，他的母亲已经80岁了，她不知道儿子到底犯了什么罪，以为就是欠了钱，就带着孙子去卖花来还儿子欠的钱，让人很感动。还有一个是儿子成了黑社会分子，案发之后跑了，为了逃避法律制裁整容了。母亲花了三年时间走遍全国去找他，终于把儿子找了回来。。Big Brother 3 is the third season of the Canadian reality television series Big Brother Canada.
