This first film version of "The Children's Hour" uses a heterosexual triangle rather than the play's lesbian theme. The plot concerns schoolteachers Karen Wright and Martha Dobie, both of whom are in love with Dr. Joe Cardin. The malicious lie of one of their students involves all three in a scandal which disrupts all their lives.。村主任为了化解村内的一些矛盾和摆脱落后现象，通过身体力行的行动和不断的宣传、教育来提高本村村民的素质，以此来发展经济，改变全村精神风貌。最终成功引进外资，带领全村走上发展之路......。
