被裁員的台幹阿國回到台灣，和找不到工作的女兒巧寧在同個屋簷下生活，彼此隱滿，只是想維繫得來不易的幸福快樂。阿國靠著假扮記者，騙吃騙喝，巧寧每天打詐騙電話，混口飯吃，當彼此的謊言被揭穿時，他們要如何面對……。Charlie goes to the movie and falls in love with a girl on the screen. He goes to Keystone Studios to find her. He disrupts the shooting of a film, and a fire breaks out. Charlie is blamed, gets squirted with a firehose, and is shoved by the female star.。
