Comedy about the proverbial genie who comes out of a bottle (a table lamp in this instance) to serve his new master. The only problem is that instead of helping his master, the genie (Burl Ives) tends to get his master (Tony Randall) into more predicaments than he gets him out of.。位于汪洋大海一个海底油田基地，突然刮起了一阵剧烈的台风，之后便出现了工作人员失踪的情况，基地的负责人吉姆似乎察觉了什么暗示，在寻找失踪人员时被一种神秘怪物的爪子划伤后身体爆裂而亡，其后员工们一个一个都被神秘的怪物吃掉了，于是，在孤立无援的基地上，工作人员们团结一致纷纷拿起武器进行了反抗，他们最终能成功逃离这里吗？。
