(Strugatsky Brothers website) NOTES This is a crime / mystery thriller with surreal and psychedelic science fiction overtones based on a book Inspector Glebsky's Puzzle by the Strugatsky brothers. The screenplay was also written by the brothers and it differs from the book. The less you know about the movie the better starting point you have. The film is based largely on the mystery of what's happening to the people of Dead Mountaineer's Hotel. Is everything what it seems? Who's dead or who's not?。怪物艾比乐乐为了躲避军方的袭击，躲进了一个名叫亚当的小男孩家里。很快，亚当便在车库里发现了它。亚当在学校的图书馆里查探艾比乐乐的相关资料却一无所获。但其实，外人口中凶狠残暴的怪物艾比乐乐一点也不凶恶，反而是个黑乎乎的萌胖子。很快，艾比乐乐和亚当交起了朋友，有了艾比乐乐的特殊能力帮助，亚当度过了一段快乐的时光。然而，军方派来抓捕艾比乐乐的部队也随之而来，他们派兵包围了艾比乐乐和亚当。最终，亚当为了保护艾比乐乐，不惜挡在了艾比乐乐的身前，准备迎接军方的炮火攻击，因为亚当在同艾比乐乐相处的过程中，早已经把艾比乐乐当成了自己最好的朋友。。
